Dreamsy Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dreamsy mobile application and related services (together, the “App”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Nature of the service (important disclaimer)
Dreamsy provides AI-generated dream interpretations designed for wellness, reflection, and entertainment.
- Interpretations are generated automatically by artificial intelligence (AI).
- Interpretations may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate.
- The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice.
If you experience distress, mental health concerns, or emergencies, seek help from a qualified professional or contact emergency services.
3. Eligibility and age
You may use the App only if you:
- Are at least 14 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use the App without parental consent), and
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
If you are a parent/guardian and believe a child has used the App in violation of this section, contact us.
4. Accounts (registered and guest/anonymous)
4.1 Guest/anonymous access
The App may allow you to start using it without registering by creating a guest/anonymous account identifier.
Guest access may have limitations and may be subject to change.
4.2 Registration and account security
If you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for activities that occur under your account, except where prohibited by law.
4.3 Upgrading a guest account
If you start as a guest and later register, your existing content may be linked to your registered account so you can keep using the App seamlessly.
5. License to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law
- Use the App in a way that interferes with its normal operation or security
6. User content (dreams, recordings, and inputs)
6.1 Your ownership
You remain the owner of the content you submit to the App (“User Content”), including dream text and any recordings or other inputs you provide.
6.2 License you grant to us
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process your User Content solely to:
- Provide the App’s features (including generating AI interpretations, storing your dream diary, and optional features such as text-to-speech and astrology-based readings)
- Maintain, secure, and improve the service
- Enforce our policies and comply with legal obligations
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, subject to backup retention and legal requirements.
6.3 Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content:
- Is lawful and does not violate third-party rights
- Does not contain illegal content, hate speech, or content that incites violence
We may remove or restrict access to content we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. AI-generated content
The App provides AI-generated outputs based on your inputs.
You understand and agree that:
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate
- AI outputs do not represent professional advice
- You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use AI outputs
You must not rely on the App as a substitute for professional advice or mental health support.
8. Voice features and permissions
If you use voice-based features, the App may request microphone permission and record audio when you choose to record.
You can deny or withdraw microphone permission in your device settings. Some features may not work without it.
9. Subscriptions, purchases, and credits
9.1 Free and paid options
The App may be offered in:
- A free version with limited features or usage, and/or
- One or more paid options, such as subscriptions and one-time purchases, that provide additional credits or unlock features
The available plans, prices, and features are shown in the App and in the relevant app store.
9.2 Payments and billing
Payments and subscriptions are processed through:
- Apple App Store and/or
- Google Play Store
We may use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements across platforms.
We do not process or store your full payment card details.
9.3 Renewals and cancellations
If you purchase a subscription, it may renew automatically unless you cancel it through your app store account settings.
We cannot manage or cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
9.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled under the policies of the relevant app store and applicable consumer law.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App unlawfully or for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data
- Interfere with or disrupt the App
- Use the App to harass, harm, or exploit others
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violate these Terms.
11. Third-party services
The App may integrate third-party services (for example, AI providers, subscription management providers, app stores, and place lookup services).
We are not responsible for:
- The availability of third-party services
- Third-party terms and privacy practices
- Any damages arising from your use of third-party services, to the extent permitted by law
12. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree that by using the App, you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features of the App and update these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or business changes.
If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, in the App or via email where appropriate).
Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
You may request account deletion using the in-app account deletion feature (if available) or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Materially breach these Terms, or
- Use the App unlawfully or in a way that risks harm to us or others
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App.
- Our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the App and these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, for intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer rights).
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from:
- Your misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
- Your infringement of third-party rights through use of the App
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence within the EU/EEA.
If you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
